#HongKong Travel

They say money makes the world go ‘round, and that is 100% true in Hong Kong! I’ve been blown away by the decadence of modern life in the most densely populated city in the world.

A real Metropolis, a melting pot of cultures, especially Indian, Japanese, Chinese and Indian. The choice in foods has been a delight. Hiking in the nature is beautiful but my goodness, the mountains are steep! If you go, you can choose to stay on the Kowloon side (cultural sites, parks, markets) or Central (shopping, cocktail bars and hiking the peak). Of course, you can take a cheap ferry for less than 10 minutes to commute sides. My biggest tip is to do the Free Walking Tour HK. They were the highlights for me! Standout cocktail bar was Frankie’s Library (but good luck finding it!) and Ozone for a Raspberry tingle on a clear night. My all-time favourite cocktail I tried was Lavender Meringue Pie at The Quinary!

Always feel free to send me any more questions you may have about the places I’ve been. I stayed at the Kimberley Hotel which was mid-range and central to the Kowloon side. Do yourself a favour and buy an 8G SIM card so that you can do google searches on the go. Get an “Octopus” Card to use the Metro, Ferry and vending machines with ease.
